The process for designing your landscape with Authentic Renderings begins with an initial consultation to discuss your vision and goals for your outdoor space. This will preferably take the form of a video call so that we can introduce ourselves face-to-face as well as get a better visual of the space that we will be working with. From there, we will create a custom design plan that includes suggested plant installations, hardscaping elements, water elements and any other feature you desire. We will work with you and your local installation contractor of choice to refine the design until it meets your expectations before moving forward with installation.
No. We are a design-only company. We do not offer any installation or maintenance services.
No. While there is no substitute for getting our eyes on the space to be designed, it is not necessary for us to physically visit each and every space that we work with. Given the abilities of various soft wares, we can gather enough information about your property from the internet to get a basic layout of the space. We will often request either the homeowner or the installation contractor to send us photos of the space that we will be designing in order to make the rendering as accurate as possible. This ability allows us to work with contractors and homeowners from practically anywhere in the United States.
Pricing for individual designs is based upon the overall scope of work that is being requested as well as the type of rendering that is required. Prices range from $450 for a basic 3D digital walk thru design of a backyard space up to $2500+ for a full-scale total property site plan.
No. Authentic Renderings cannot take responsibility for any of the installation nor care and maintenance of the plants once they are installed. There are many factors that can affect the health of plants, some of which are: soil pH, moisture levels, availability of sunlight, shifts in weather patterns, installation procedures, initial watering and care of plants post-installation just to name a few. Homeowners should consult their selected installation contractor to resolve any issues that may come up before, during and after installation.
No. Our design work stems from years of experience in the field as well as gained knowledge from working at various landscape supply stores. Our recommendations of material is coming from a genuine desire to bring the highest quality of product to homeowners based upon successes and failures that we witnessed with our own eyes over the years. Our promise at Authentic Renderings is to place the highest level of suggestions that will offer the greatest amount of successful for both homeowners and contractors alike. We cannot certify any of our renderings, but we can certainly promise our customers that we will never suggest any plant material that we know will not have a high chance of success based upon what region the property resides in.
Once a digital rendering has been completed for any project, we will provide a black-n-white "bird's eye view" of the design indicating the location and specification of all plant material shown in the design. (Keep in mind the plant material in the designs is a SUGGESTION ONLY based on our best professional opinion. Plant substitutions should come from the contractor on-site if there is a better alternative based on site conditions.) Installation contractors may then use that plan when ordering and installing plant material. Authentic Renderings will provide as much communication as possible to assist installation contractors with making sure the overall installation meets the design objectives.
The homeowner has the final say in what plants will be installed on the property. Authentic Renderings grants permission, in good faith, to the contractor on-site to recommend alternatives if he or she feels necessary to do so based on the environment and conditions of the space.
Yes. Certain retaining walls and other structures require special permitting OR engineering specifications and cannot nor will not be added into our design work. If there are any desired structures requiring additional professional expertise, Authentic Renderings will leave that particular item out of the design and will request the homeowner reach out to the appropriate person(s) for that part of the project.
